mum 3rd November 2019

Hi Honey, Well can't believe how quick this year has gone!! It could be because we had so much happening, its been a whirlwind. Your Dad's party was an absolute fabulous time! We had great weather which was just as well as there was about 55 of us coming & going all day & you might guess had to get folk out at 3am, so it was a hoot! your dad loved every minute of it. The icing on the cake was a knitted pigeon that Jean did for him, as you can imagine he took some stick for that, all the jokes of it being a winning bird etc was hilarious! Laura brought us down the most gorgeous picture of you, she had it specially made. The photo the girl used was the one of you at Stuart's graduation ball. She got you absolutely spot on! we were so delighted with it. She gave us it to put up in the new rooms we've got now. I'm putting it on the hall stairs with your Kimono as it's my way of keeping it your part of the room. Peter & Sam's wedding was the most beautiful day, it was just such a happy fun time & the setting was stunning! Mark's speech was so emotional he had the whole room in tears, but that was with laughter too! He just said it straight from the heart about our emotional rollercoaster. Pete was definitely his biggest saviour through it all. Sam was simply gorgeous, she had an elegant lace dress it was stunning! They're so happy together & have a lovely home. Lola & Millie are getting so big now Jayne they've got their own little personalities, we just love being granny & granpa & we adore them! I can't wait to have the girls to stay over, their room is all ready & they'll love it. Mark is so good with them, they follow him round like a limpet it's so funny & he loves it!!! Well your wee granny Gillies has had the most awful sad news that she has Alzheimers & we are heart broken. You would not believe how much it's changed her, the simple things like knitting & sewing her two loves, fortunately she's still baking but we get a lot of burnt offerings. We will all just rally round & take good care of her. We are so lucky because we have all those happy memories of her, we have to keep that in mind! We had our holiday again in Portugal with Paddy & family, it was great, Kerri & Connie are so much fun! it's just a pity your dad didn't get in the result he was gutted! The place is just amazing & we enjoyed it. I was at the annual Halloween party last night with the dancing girls, another fantastic night they raised £1,600. It just keeps getting better & the girls are wonderful, really chuffed for them. Next weekend we are going up to Mhairi's to see the kids & new addition wee Elise. Mary & Ian will be there, unfortunately Stuart can't manage up but we will see them all at xmas. He is doing great & the kids are getting so big. They all came up for your Dad's party so I was really pleased they could make it! Tomorrow for your anniversary we are going out for a family meal to honour you, so lots of laughs then! We enjoy having these special times with the family & friends because as I always say that's what keeps us going & reliving all the fun times we've all shared together, with your Gran's condition we have to make as many memories as we can. For her 82nd birthday we all went over to the church hall for a photo shoot with all the grandkids & great grandkids, got some lovely photos, It was hilarious & emotional as again you where missing in it! A piece of our heart is slowly broken with every event that we have as our Jayne is not there! We couldn't miss you more than we do & love you more with all of our Hearts! Goodnight my special angel in our hearts forever. Love Mum, Dad & Rufus xxxxxx
